Caprice Resources (CRS) has begun phase two reverse circulation drilling at its Northampton project in Western Australia.

Around ten drill holes are planned to follow up on maiden drilling at the Lady Sampson prospect that returned a peak intersection of 14 metres at 7.6 per cent lead, 1.1 per cent zinc and 3.1 grams per tonne (g/t) silver.

Caprice said the next round of drilling would aim to test the grade continuity between the original intercepts, as well as strike and depth extensions.

Drilling is planned towards the west of the project area, which CRS said should yield an “optimal orientation” to assess the potential of Lady Sampson.

Following the “excellent results” from the initial drilling, Caprice Managing Director Andrew Muir said the company was looking forward to seeing how the area develops.

“Phase two will yield further insights into the potential for the prospect given the zone remains open at depth and along strike,” Mr Muir said.

CRS shares closed 2.44 per cent higher at 4.2 cents on Friday afternoon.
