It has surprised me that the USD is down as much as it is, but most of my USD's are in equities which keep hitting new highs, so one cancels out the other.

What has really surprised me is that despite the USD's slide, gold hasn't moved upwards, and now Europe's worried about the high Euro, which according to the goldbugs was at death's door. European countries will do something about the problem soon and the USD will appreciate.

Atm a term deposit is way preferable to gold, the worst investment on the planet.
