The average shorts held since August 4 2014 until now has hovered between 5 and 5.10 per cent

There was a high in of 5.47 per cent on 25th September in this period

And the last record available from ASIC was on 6th October (Monday) of 4.52 per cent (a low only beaten once of 4.31 per cent earlier this year)

This is a good sign - however still need to wait and see figures for last four days.

Bare in mind 23 million shares have come onto market with new captial raising which may have diluted the short percentages
