Actually I heard it was a mutual understanding. They didn’t want him, and he didn’t want to be there !

It would have been reported to market if they bought another ADSL ISP. And based on what has been said with them NOT focusing on consumer customers, it would not make sense for them to purchase such a base. My bet is the ISP that they were looking at(as reported by the AFR) is some sort of business ISP.
