Purely out of boredom I am going to speculate on this .. he has transferred them at 2.2c from him SMSF which would most likely realise a capital gain at a lower tax rate and potentially if the SP goes nowhere he will realise a capital loss in time personally when eventually sells out.. if it goes somewhere then this is an expensive exercise to move out of a low tax environment.. or does he want the funds in super to invest in something else that needs a low tax environment...
