Interesting to note they say in 2013 5.7 million tons of lithium were taken from those Tsaidam Basin lakes in Amdo.
I question this, where has it gone, that's a massive quantity.
The extraction and purifying technologies are questionable as well, very damaging if true.

Lithium is supposed to be the new clean, pure future, if this article has significant truth there is a problem with Chinese Lithium.
