That coal fired power plant would still create more CO2 plus other toxic compounds than renewable power sources or even gas fired plants .
Maybe if the CO2 was pumped into an underground storage it would work , but geothermal , waste heat recovery units , or pumped hydro (rather than batteries ) and solar together seems the answer to me

As for global warming , the stats show the atmosphere and sea is heating up , but the link to CO2 is tenuous ,
