Don't have much time to respond to this today but I can tell you that USA farmers are way behind the 8 ball compared to NZ farmers e.g they have up to 20 staff on a 200 cow farm when NZ farmers would have 2-3 staff on a 400 cow farm. At present their are about 65 Synlait farms for IF in the South Island, at a guess I would say herds of up to 500 cows each. Closest farms in North Island that would probably supply Mangere plant would be North of Whangarei (just speculating) but they already supply A2 fresh milk at present, as Waikato farms currently supply Fonterra or if they want a premium they will supply to Tatau just out of Morrinsville which is quite a boutique plant in the Waikato in my opinion that I have worked at in the past and have a very good management and growth system.
