    Ahhh ok.

First of all, Tolga has been in the graphite game for about 5 years. 5 Years!!!

I am going to have to quote another poster here as they do a far better job then I. The incredibly respectable work of blacksheep:

(On Tolga) "An ex stockbroker turned mining executive, now described in the media as a mining tycoon, telling the worlds largest battery manufacturers what to do. At least Paul Kehoe was a little more humble, admitting the Balama windfall “was 80 per cent luck and 20 per cent skill" They weren't looking for graphite, rather uranium until Fukushima hit - someone then told them about the graphite/vanadium potential. Not sure what graphite "experience" he had at that stage to pass onto the likes of those companies, but can't imagine it was much.

Not taking away from what they achieved at SYR, but a little humility goes a long way - particularly since the financial success or otherwise of the Balama graphite project is not yet apparent and there are, judging by the number of shorts, a few betting it won't be. One also wonders why these companies are not yet knocking on SYR's door for supply. So far they have only attracted BTR."

So taking blacksheeps comments into consideration, where do you put your trust? Tolga with a few years under his belt, or Whittingham with decades and the credit of being recognised as one of the founding inventors of lithium-ion batteries to the point of being nominated for a nobel prize.

Even further, Tolga's comments make me shake my head. There hasn't been a single paper published??? Shailesh has been published in over 70 journals! And his paper on "Iron and manganese pyrophosphates as cathodes for lithium-ion batteries" was published in 2010, and his papers on "High performance Si/MgO/graphite composite as the anode for lithium-ion batteries" and "Electrochemical performance of Al–Si–graphite composite as anode for lithium–ion batteries" were published in 2011. And are you aware of the time it takes for a thesis or paper, once completed, to be published? It is not the next day. It can take years for a paper to be published after completion.

These papers were also co-authored by Professor Stan Whittingham. Don't think there is any change in Chemistry "overnight" as Tolga claims

So taking that in mind and considering the time frames on the plant to be constructed, I'd say the 10 year time frame Tolga is referring to looks to be pretty close, don't you?
