Did you notice that SPL has quite a few "products", and they stem from IP that has created a platform for further applications of the tech? If a particular application fails, there are other applications to take its place.

NTcell and Recell don't really have the same IP platform benefit to their tech, and most other spec biotech and pharma stocks don't either. Even if NTcell was mentioning some other applications, it wasn't really a broad application, and none of the others were off the ground. They are hoping something narrow will hit paydirt.

I trade all of these kinds of stocks on occasion, but like the platformish stocks the most for longer term holds.

Not saying you weren't wise to dump all three, after that experience.
