What is suddenly becoming conventional wisdom among lithium industry participants – and reflected by Western Australian refinery investment -- but has not fully sunk in in financial investors mindsets, is that “high cost” HARD ROCK is actually LOWER COST for producing lithium HYDROXIDE, which is the fastest growing lithium chemical product.
McKinsey & Co estimate Li Hydroxide derived from hard rock is almost 15% cheaper than converting brine carbonate to hydroxide, as per what KB has been saying all along..
