I think it's time for a reality check folks.
The upfront payment will not be $500m, especially not with an additional huge back end payment. It's nice to dream about, but it's in the realm of possibilities... not even for Father Christmas riding a Unicorn...
The current market cap of NEU is $313m so any Partner wanting to invest that amount would be better off to make a takeover offer at $500m which represents a 60% premium to the current share price (equates to an offer price of approximately $4.30).
I don't think a takeover offer is a likely outcome (we are expecting a partnership announcement) and it is even more unlikely that any partner will make a $500m payment upfront.
I'm not trying to rain on the parade, but some of the comments and expectations on this thread are borderline ludicrous.
