rags21: no idea what galaxy you live in, but a company which has is trying to grow through exploration (something each oil company does), produces oil & gas and has 10 years of reserve is NOT a speculative stock.
It also pays dividends out from its cashflow. It may be "higher" risk due its perceived small portfolio being a small company.
Before Reg Nelson took over, this company was a badly managed two-decade failure, Nelson has done an exceptional job in reversing the company's fortunes and providing an annual shareholder return for the last five years of 33% per year.
So there are things this company is doing right and that has been reflected in its share price over that type of a timeframe.
