    Demise of the Dinosaurs.

In one of my early posts I speculated that thecoming EV revolution would have much more impact if electrical vehicles did nothave to compete with fossil fuel on the same playing field but rather - like the early mammals after the last T-Rex keeled over - would find the playing field deserted and ready to be conquered.

Where I live there is a farmers Market. It’s big and brand new with broad aisles, modern equipment and generous parking. But this Market started out small - just a tin shack really. The produce was plentiful however. Fresh and cheap to booth, and customers poured in.

So the tin shed had to grow to meet demands and it did this by hastily pouring concrete slabs on suitable long weekends and bolting on more and more tin to the exiting structure. It was always a patchjob - a “catching up” job if you like. This went on for years and the resulting

    “building” was not pretty.

It was as functional as ever though and this is why it kept on going, and going, making money for the owners ………. until the day it burned down.

This was initially seen as a catastrophe but with helpful stimulus from insurance money this Market was soon back on its feet. And now it is a whole new beast! Because the owners didn't replace their market with the same terrible tin Market they had before - they replaced it with a brand new Market! The had wanted a brand new Market for a long time but never have the funds, time or know-how to go about it.

The fire took care of all that.

Now the dinosaurs ( read: petro chemicallydependant transportation)were already on the demise when the comet (read; virus induced market crash) hit, but without the comet the dinosaurs would have argued the toss and prolonged the change over to mammalian rule as you don’t give up 160 million years of dominance just like that.

    The comet sent them packing.

I think the current upheaval in the Market will also help to burn down some old tin sheds and eradicate the dependence of old fossils by investors pulling out their money like is happening right now.

After a while though (or quickly if the sameinvestors are smart) they will look for somewhere new to put their money.

And there sits LTR… like our most promising furrylittle ancestor - ready to take over the world - or ready to be taken over?
