It is clear from ASIC's responses that it does not see ISX and its shareholders as a big enough representation of the public, therefore will attempt to protect the confidence in the Australian Financial and Equities systems for the market as a whole. Little does ASIC understand that by doing this more harm will eventually be done to Australian Markets. ISX's problems are the market's problems and ASIC needs to look at the problem holistically.
