Headline in The Australian online just out that WPL and Brookfield have made a joint bid for Chevron's NWS stake.
I wonder if the bid fails if WPL is still able to pre-empt the sale by itself anyway and the WPL/Brookfield bid is just the most capital efficient way to buy the asset rather than as a sole pre-emptor. Always the risk that one of the other remaining partners also preempts a bid.
Anyone able to post the full article? As it is paywalled.
Seems WPL are really keen on the NWS stake which makes sense to me.
