If a stock , and fundamentals of written up , and put in as portfolio recommendation- many analysts give guidance just so as not to have too much of a jump if many subscribers take up at once. This is all that it means . Many stocks in portfolio can end up to be above the original buy up to guide - the analyst is seeking to protect themself as well , and their recommendation and best result for readers . (instead of leading them to be buying at a high & at higher valuation for the stock )
It’s just common sense .
Intelligent Investor. / eureka do the same thing when they add to one of their portfolios. In write up , they give guidance rather than spiking the shareprice excessively .
