Resigning is actually in your own interests Alex.
With your large holding you have suffered huge paper losses over the past months. Putting an experienced and competent MD in place will likely restore your fortune and more. Reputational damage hurts but come the AGM you will likely get a first strike that will resonate across the corporate world. Is the Board backing you? Did the company secretary try to hold you to account before resigning? You really do need to give your position serious thought.
