I wonder if Jupiter's Substantial holding was tactically helped by their shorting -- if they were? They appear savvy (must be because of the IVR link -- hint-wink.)
If so, and if they're done then that should show in the short report. OTOH, if other instos are doing the same, ie. adding/building Substantial positions for themselves or a confidential third party (think BIG miner) then shorts should remain consistent.
This thesis is predicated on all things being equal, but they never are. So, I believe the short position is based on a falling PoG because of Au's seasonal weakness. Shorting based on a series of poor assays is an oversized risk of failure. How is that risk-reward calculated? (I'm long, so biased.).
I believe today's sp action has more to do with the drop in PoG than today's drill results.
