Viraleze launch. The reality., page-60

I mentioned last week that I had emailed Lloyds Pharmacy requesting clarification on dates and strategy for the in-store launch of Viraleze in the UK. The abbreviated response to me and key sentence is below:

”All of our LloydsPharmacy stores except for our stores located inside a Sainsburys will have Viraleze available to purchase in store from 21st April 2021.”

I did a quick dig online and to the best of my knowledge Lloyds Pharmacy bought the Sainsbury’s pharmacy business in 2015. The Sainsbury supermarket chain had 281 pharmacies of which 277 were in stores and 4 were in hospitals. These pharmacies were rebranded as Lloyds Pharmacies.

So using rubbery figures, the generally accepted number of total Lloyds Pharmacy outlets is around 1400. Therefore the in-store launch which will be on 21st April excluding the Sainsbury store locations will be in approximately 1100.
