I dont like the accc , i think they are anti competitive.
can you remember galaxy television...the sa govt put in
10million to start them off , they had the mgm movie library deal and when they looked a bit shakey and packer ?stepped to prop them up the accc stopped it as anticompetitive as packer was into foxtel...result galaxy fell over , foxtel got the mgm library and sa taxpayers lost 10 million as well as local support industries
from a personal aspect , the wx page in the newspapers
were done inhouse until fairfax and the news decided to outsource , the wx bureau set up an independant arm to
charge the papers for the media graphics at cost ( cover its cost..staff etc etc ) , a nz company bitched they could not compete so they got the contract . a year later
this nz company couldnt make a profit and renigned on the contract...guess where it ended up....at the wx bureau
and at the taxpayers expense...yep for free...
so mr rudd gives us alla break....axe accc
