BB, just how long can the USD continue to be a safe haven when the printing presses are running so rampantly.

I know it's near impossible for us to even entertain the idea, let alone accept the idea, that the US is history. I struggle with the concept myself because the US has been the epicentre of world finance for so long. In fact in our life times we have known nothing else.

This is what is going to hit everyone like a freight train and will leave everyone with an undeniable feeling of "how could this have happened", "why didn't we see this coming", "how could things have got so bad", "this isn't right, no this can't be happening".

The reasons why it is happening have been discussed to the n'th degree on this forum.

Fraud and corruption that we once would have associated with third world African dictatorships is status quo in US politics and business. Hard to comprehend I know.

A trillion dollar a year military budget with very close ties to the fraud and corruption mentioned above is beyond imagination. This fact alone is a sure sign of a morally bankrupt country that holds a sword to it's own back as it inches further and further along the plank like the scurulous dog it's become.

Limitless greed, greed on a scale that is difficult to comprehend, has brought a once great nation to the threshold of bankruptcy. All it will take is China to usher the US through the door.
