bcjk3, you continue to make sense to me and I enjoy your musings. Thanks for your posts. One thing I'm not convinced though is your view on a cap raise. With respect, let me hypothesise. I think the cap raise requirements are significant ... and if banks don't come to the party then it's an issue ... Let's blow it right out of the water and say they need 100 mill. I don't think they'd want to do a small one for working capital and a big one for capex so let's combine the two. $100m. Want to get that away? You're look at at placement price of 14c, and it's effectively a 25% increase in shares on issue. ie 550 million shares. What does the broker do? They place them to insto mates who cover their shorts and make a packet. Now I realise other posters are raising this as an issue. But I can really see that playing out. (Which is one of the reasons I keep posting that I'd like to see the Board of ADN actually get on the front foot and add some value, manage and not simply react - well they don't even react but anyway ... ) My LT conviction in ADN is 100% intact ... but I think the next few months will be rocky indeed. I hope I'm wrong. A good announcement or two and it could change things - although the big BOA was, in my view, a game-changer and instead the market yawned and sold it off. Oh and for the record (this is not directed at you BJCK3), as a LT shareholder, i DO watch the daily price movements. Maybe that's silly or irrational. But tell me a LT holder who would rather us be at 17.5 than 32 ....
