His credentials were that his mothers father was a miner in one of the coldest mines in WA. That obviously means he knows exactly what it is like to work out bush in the heat.
And by the way, Karratha is not out bush, nor that hot for that matter as it gets a nice breeze every day, and Millars Well is only 2 km from the Centro - and that naked walk has been done many times by real bush workers whilst on days off in Karratha. Walk from the jump-up with your 10 litres of water on a still summers day and then I might be slightly more impressed!
And to think this thread started out so well...
