I work in the Regulatory/Medical space and this seems to be a significant signal from the TGA compliance branch with respect to the amount of the fine. It shows me the company has poor understanding or experience with the legislative requirements in AU - a lot of their website was in breach of the advertising code and TG Act.
I can't see how the company's actions are excusable and I doubt they can challenge the fine. This will impact their reputation with the TGA for sure.
