Dorsal Fin thread for @bcjk3 and others to share info on ultra high purity kaolin, its role in ADN achieving high purity alumina production etc.
Unlike pure halloysite which sells for $5,000t I'm not sure if James Marsh has nominated a price for UHP kaolin. He hasn't mentioned other uses for it beyond HPA5N so contributors here may come up with some ideas/research.
High purity kaolin from Dorsal Fin will also be used in the PRM (paints &coatings) product - selling for ~$1,000t - but what interests me is the ultra high purity kaolin.
BTW, the red box is where the material for the concrete app is coming from. It is the 'waste' above the softer kaolin/halloysite. James Marsh says this will sell for ~$1,000t.
Dorsal Fin is high in kaolin, low in halloysite and has a high Reflectance (R457) score.
I think James Marsh talks about Dorsal Fin UHP kaolin from 24 minutes although he doesn't specifically name it. I thought he may have done that at Noosa but I can't find anything there.
