What will make it from the research lab into commercialisation?
Many, many potential uses will not progress beyond academia.
And out of those that do progress to commercialisation, will any actually be successful?
As China Gold mentions, we are a semi-tech play in mining clothes. That is quite a shift from strip mining, but if it plays out, then the risk will be most worthwhile.
