I would say the Australia housing market is very regulated and always have been. It is not as heavily leveraged to a point it's just a house of cards. Sure there's a chance of the market collapsing and GMA taking going under if it happens, but that is a very small chance. I don't see the housing market going down by more than 20% let alone the % needed for GMA to be completely wiped out.
