Often these studies lead to sell offs especially when badly communicated to market.
ADN PFS came out on 1 June and SP sold off with 40% after that. Shorting by UBS/Regal took place with NVA which helped push the price down lower, combined with a highly successful social media trolling campaign which scared fickle retail out of their shares. SP now back to levels close to where the post SS sell off began.
Plenty of examples of bad consolidations around as well as good ones. Would love to see a truly comparative study on the effect of consolidations on SP. mostly what I read are sentiments based on 1-3 occasions.
