You may be thinking of the quote from Kees Weel CEO of PWH. He twice said that he consistently reminds his staff that they require high inventory / raw material levels in the current supply constrained environment because "I'd rather be looking at it, and not looking for it".I've also heard a number of ceo's refer to inventory as a strategic asset particularly in these times.
