Don’t disagree with a lot of what you’ve said - for sure they should be reading the room far better than they are!
Only point I’ll say is pre pandemic the “rules” were different. I work in the same industry and I can tell you getting certain skill sets (designers, engineers, diesel fitters) is a real challenge. It really is a race to the bottom, people are getting overpaid - but that’s the current market because for whatever reason post covid conditions are very different to any other skills shortage we have experienced.
I’m also invested that same lithium company, and there is the very stark difference here. All the board here aren’t startup owners, they’re mercenaries for hire, and when you have a market with probably weekly linkedin approaches from a recruiter - you need to make a call. Let them go, or know the cost to replace will be the same ( if not more) and lose all of the IP associated with them.
Trust me I’m far from happy, but I’m ok to let them do their thing and get us into production and what will be a profitable operation. We as holders really need to be careful, the opportunity cost of rolling a board is real, we lose them and it’s a medium term issue. The share price will be destroyed, and likelihood of any one coming along to pick up the pieces is extremely low. Remember research shows most people leave their boss, not the money. We are indirectly their bosses, if we do this there is a chance ADN remains in purgatory for a long time.
The final point I will make is this. These guys are playing in a very public space on a listed board. If they’re commanding these types of salaries and can’t get the job done - reputation is worth a lot, they’re future earnings potential will take a hit.
Hope it’s not flaming you bud and you understand my point of view. I reiterate I definitely don’t disagree with you, nor am I happy - just trying to highlight some of the “cons” associated with acting on our frustrations.
