That’s another issue with the sorting technology. It’s really not great for a brownfields operation which has been in production and has a proven process in place - ie it’s not broke why fix it……

With the heap leaching, that’s another positive for ore sorting. It’s much more enviro friendly, and has a smaller foot print. So given the expanse of the Korbel Main strike, this smaller footprint probably makes ore sorting a little more attractive.

Again these are the explanations I was given when asking processing engineers at the EPCs and EPCMs I had contact through my work with. They like the technology, it’s just not for every application is all.
