I agree completely with your last statement. Our departing MD has made numerous statements over the past couple of years that either later proved false or not come to fruition. However, the Corporations Act has never functioned like the criminal code. If it did, at least a third of upper execs on the ASX would be in the klink. Unless they say something that is palpably dishonest, and it can be proven they knew it was dishonest, then the only avenue of accountability rests with shareholders.

There's an awful lot to like about JM but in my opinion he was not the type of person to lead this company in its transition from explorer to miner. I think the people who appointed him knew that but did it for their own ends, and they are much richer for it (and a lot of other people poorer). If anyone is to blame it is those three shysters.
