A while ago I had a conversation with Holcim about the possibility of using their “greener” concrete for the project I’m working on. The guy explained what they are doing and the they reach emissions reductions by use of additives which allows to reduce cement content and increase the use of recycled materials also known as manufactured sand.
If you read the actual report posted on Andromeda website page 15 shows that this is exactly what Niki Jackson did in preparation of this report and this is how the CO2 emissions reduction has been achieved.
Page 20 provides details and disclaimers regarding the potential cost reduction.
I think that only a few people posting here have read the actual report.
