I agree, the collapse of the Aussie Dollar, as mentioned, should counter the broader market situation. Also, copper bucked the trend last night and held up well. It won't be sealed until the vote next Friday but I would be surprised to see it fall over. I hope CFE are buying amongst the panic. It looks like I jumped the gun topping up at .39. That's life, although I expect it will go well past that soon enough. There's been some substantial buys going through after it hit .35, which is encouraging.

As far as the Chinese saying, it has become widely regarded as a Chinese saying but actually isn't. Doesn't appear in any old Chinese texts and isn't regarded as Chinese in origin by Chinese scholars or native Chinese apparently. No-one has been able to pinpoint it's origin definitively from what I understand. Sorry - Off topic posting 101.
