you make a fair point ausjpn, but the way i see it, less money being spent in clubs on booze, fatty food and pokies can only be a good thing. sure the clubs lose, but hey, theres always a loser.

i saw twiggy this morning and i know theres a whole discussion on another thread, which i havent read, but it seems fmg will be losers out of this. because from what i understand, he cant get finance cheaply.

it seems twiggy wants to buy a new $40 000 car and has to borrow $39 500. now correct me if im wrong, but isnt going heavily into debt to get the things we want what caused the gfc? twiggy might just have to wait until he can pay more cash for his expansion.

if the project is viable, potentially enriching, and one doesnt have to sell the shirt off the back to get it going, then its all good. being up to our eyes in debt to foreign nations is not my idea of good long term strategy.

as for trusting others opinions, i will happily defer to more knowledgeable folk than i who are not paid lobbyists, politically affiliated, or just plain selfish.

its the mother of all beat ups.
