No, but there may be benefits in selling to crystallise the loss in a year when you otherwise have a big CGT liability. If my other holdings do well and I decide to sell them to take the profit, it's moderately likely that I'll also take the loss on RFX at the same time to offset that liability. Not absolutely certain, mind, but moderately likely.
