Oh god. I/we have heard this all before. The same unbridled and optimistic but ultimately unfulfilled enthusiasm and price predictions every year. Opportunity cost is a killer dude. Buying and holding SPL has and is a road to nowhere.

Then the breakout year was going to be 2020, 2021, 2022 and then 2023.

Now apparently 2024 is going to be the year is it?

And since you asked, no, I don’t think DEP-Docetaxel results are going to rocket the share price. My opinion has always been that this dendrimer is the runt on the litter. That’s why IMO the Phase 2 results are being held back again, this time until crazy Xmas week.

As for Viraleze, these trial results are quite binary. Clear and positive results may get the SP to mid 20’s. A fail, then I’m guessing SPL goes to between 10 and 11 cents and Viraleze is dead in the water as a commercial product.

I’ll choose the safe option and only consider re-entering SPL on the back of a bonafide positive announcement to ride it up. Alternatively if it sinks to sub 10 cents and AstraZeneca are still ‘partners’ I may look to re-enter for a Hail Mary take-over punt.

SPL up a pip so far today, at least that’s something, but it’s the bigger picture that counts.
