Regulators are waking up to the fact that shorting is being used to manipulate the market.
If you are interested, look up "Gamma levels" for the S&P 500, and you may understand why its been trading in a tight band for the last two weeks.
The band is set by Call and Put Options which expire tonight US time, so you may see some volatility for the next two weeks or so until the next set of limits for Calls and Puts are established. This is a monthly occurrence.
This is all institutionally driven and basically designed to rip off the retail investor.
No wonder the big boys are crying.
The sooner its totally banned forever the better off we'll all be.
