US budget deficit
2009 - 1.4 trillion
2010 - 1.3 trillion
rolling tally around 13 trillion
Why would they cut spending on defense when they have troops in Afganistan and all the other posts in the middle east?
US will still want to be a super power, hence the excessive fiscal spending programs and large defense force.
