A couple of issues:
LTR as it moves from construction to production intrinsically becomes more valuable daily.
Not currently reflected in SP which is mostly irrelevant in the short term.
A point not lost on GR.
Bid low (say $2) mop up 5/10% ish, Maybe??
Wait to closer to production and have to revisit $3 ++ expensive.
BUT we have an Event Horizon.
Soon LTR will move from being Under Construction to Production.
This is likely to be around 30 June ish?
NOW the moment a resource Co. moves to production the Accounting Rules Change.
Costs cannot be capitalised as previously, Now need to be Expensed.
Plant & Equipment start to be depreciated etc.
LTR most likely will write down the carrying value of the plant by $1B ish.
Creating a massive tax loss.
Now if GR can grab LTR before June 30 or prior to production the she gets the Tax Write Down.
Who else do you Know who needs a $1B+ Tax deduction, she might even write the plant of entirely,
Then she owns LTR for free paid for by the tax payer...
Just Saying...
Disclosure: I'm not an accountant, just know enough to be dangerous.
