Just as a follow up if you think extended family members etc do not hold interests via various means in regards to ASX holdings and use various methods where they don't come under the compliance measures via ASX you would be wrong. Stricter controls are implemented at company level by many companies but it is not a perfect system by any means as it requires a direct interest and control over investment decisions to actually force compliance. Many C suite will never buy shares in their own company purely because they don't want restriction on their investment. Any shares they get as KPI etc in many cases like mining companies are often sold after required conditions are met as many C Suite realise bird in the hand and freedom of investment choice is worth a lot to them rather than being overweight in company by getting wage from them and also investing in them. Many financial advisors specifically advise that way due to higher risk in company you are employed in. Overall only a certain % of people let alone management ever directly invest in shares and why would you do it on a restricted basis. On a overall financial plan considering age and financial circumstances a small restricted holding may be more hassle than it is worth to many .

The insider charts and tables are very old hat , easily manipulated and are not as realistic as they may have been 40 years ago where there was a whole trend amongst investors to follow management into investments
