I interpret that to mean that it’s not that big pharma are not interested but that atm they are generally concentrating efforts on their own internal developments. That could change if SPL were to initiate further development themselves. Which I suspect really means that at the moment the DEP is no risk to Pfizer and irinotecan, Sanofi and cabazitaxel. But if we did manage to secure a partner to help develop, then you could bet they would want it then! At ASCO they will target and deliberately expose us to these other companies more likely to partner at this stage than the ones that own the existing drugs. I think they are trying everything they can. You’re always down in the dumps, there’s always this tone that you think or want or hope they will fail. I’m a lot more optimistic moving forward and suspect that something will come from ASCO this time round, particularly now that the platform has just been proven and that the latest results from clinical trial are very good imo. I suspect big pharma are playing hard ball with us. Why would they plough money in to develop dep when their own drugs are already established and bring in massive dollars. Out of some sense of a social conscience to provide better outcomes for patients lol doubt that. They know we are no competition and cannot afford to take into phase three ourselves. That’s been the true driver for us to look elsewhere now. ASCO will deliver imo.
