Alas, ASIC have commenced Federal Court proceedings against ASX for misleading statements related to its Clearing House Electronic Subregister System (CHESS) replacement project.
Someone needs to commence proceedings against ASIC themsleves for their lack of regulatory action against complaints lodged against listed companies.
Under-funded and under-staffed means they can't investigate all complaints. Instead they file the vast majority for intelligence purposes. The Government probably prefer it that way so it can't be identified just how many companies rort the system.
