spidey you're right. i should have said that by accepting a buyback i get fewer shares and thus less in divis. and also you're right capital return SHOULD mean cash and in years past it did. now the meaning seems to have become perverted or have i misread he situation. another unfair thing is that people choosing to take buybacks often end up with a greater proportion of he company's franking credits than those who don't. not fair. do not like buybacks.
