I'll illustrate with an examplelet's say the share price has gone down to 0.1c (extreme example but I'm illustrating a principle)buyers will be reluctant to buy at 0.2c because that would mean a 100% increase in sp and market capso the company does a consolidation and the sp rises as a result of the reduced shares on issue to say 5c. buyers can now bid 5.1c which is only a 2% increase in sp and market cap. Much more palatableso liquidity increases because there's much more buyers willing to bid the next step up in sp.
