    Coalspur reaches "big milestone"

Coalspur Mines Limited had to wait a little but the company was notified on April 25 that the Alberta Government issued three Orders In Council which authorize the Energy Resources Conservation Board to transfer historic Mine Permit and Coal Processing Plant Approval to Coalspur for properties purchased in November 2010, which are part of the Vista Coal Project.

"This is a big milestone," said Gene Wusaty, managing director and CEO of Coalspur.

When Coalspur purchased these properties near Hinton they had to apply to transfer the mine permit and coal processing plant approval, which were initially issued in 1983, from the previous owners. However the delay didn't cause problems for the company.

"Realistically waiting for the permits didn't hamper our time frame as we were able to start the Feasibility Study in April and that is the real critical path for Vista," Wusaty said.

He said they recently commenced the Feasibility Study and it will be ready by the end of the year, which is still on track to meet the company's development time line. Although the company is happy to reach the current milestone Wusaty said there is still a lot of work to do.

"We will keep working on our properties through drilling and ongoing regulatory requirements," he said. "There are more milestones to reach. It's a ongoing process."

Up next for Coalspur is the release of their report on the open houses they held in Hinton. Wusaty said the report is coming out soon. He added that ongoing public consultation with people in Hinton is also in the works.
