You're going to have to look overseas, there aren't many 'sleeping tech giants' in Australia unfortunately (nor in America tbh) unless you have the venture capital to fund a start up of your own you won't get anything decent in 'that space'.
What's wrong with some junior miners? Just ensure that their operating costs are low enough to withstand a major commodity shock -not digging gold for at cash costs of $1400/ounce.
AVI -600kt copper, mixed in with magnetite credits will give cash operating costs of 60c a pound where the price is $4 atm. 120mill capex, 820 shareholders with a billionaire director on board, <50m mkt cap with enormous exploration potential.. Now this is a sleeping giant.
