I agree with your posed question 'who would be a seller at these prices?' However I would like to rephrase the question as follows:
Where are all the buyers for such a prospective opportunity?
Maybe we still need to get the clearer picture out there for the market to realise what they are missing.

And then we have a day like today with buyers appearing from nowhere completely against the trend. Crazy

A positive surprise of some magnitude is needed to shift this SP to where it should be.
