    I agree with you somewhat. No one can push the price down on a bullish run. You can't fight the trend and when buying volume is up, the share price goes up. What I do think happens is that on lower volume days it's easy to "direct" the price to go in the direction you want. This isn't really manipulation in my opinion, it's more like allowing a current to flow. If the buyers aren't there to push the price higher then the price can be directed down. When the price finds a true bottom it doesn't continue to push lower as buyers see value and place a bid. The price becomes range bound unable to push new highs and unwilling to fall below the true bottom that has formed. This in my opinion is happening now and if one were so inclined one could trade the range. Not my cup of tea though as I'm bullish and believe this will break out again on revenue figures. Imo, there's plenty of good news flow to come this year.
